Lisa Levy’s impact on New Zealand hospitality extends far beyond the dining room. As co-owner and HR & Operations Manager of Christchurch’s Inati, Lisa has helped shape a restaurant built around connection, generosity and the belief that exceptional dining is created through both people and place. Growing up in Hawke’s Bay as the great-granddaughter of industrialist Sir James Wattie, Lisa’s path into hospitality began with a part-time role at Wellington’s Dockside restaurant before taking her overseas, where she gained invaluable experience in Greece and London, including a pivotal role at renowned hotel, The Connaught. These experiences shaped her understanding of world-class hospitality, leadership and the importance of creating meaningful guest experiences. In 2017, Lisa and her husband Simon brought their shared vision to life with the opening of Inati, a restaurant that celebrates Canterbury’s exceptional produce through an immersive and considered approach to dining. Lisa is passionate about the people behind hospitality and her dedication to nurturing teams and creating positive workplace cultures has made her an inspiring figure within the industry.
