There’s no better way to end an incredible meal surrounded by family than with a beautiful, fresh dessert that isn’t too heavy but satisfies a sweet tooth. We’re so very lucky to have Christmas in summer, when some of my favourite fruits reach the peak of the season. These three dishes draw from memories of going to the Sunday markets with my dad, picking out the most perfect strawberries, the nicest cherries and the ripest peaches, then choosing a cracking dessert to highlight each flavour. They can all be made ahead and made in different sizes depending on how many people you need to feed, making for a fuss-free meal with a perfect finale.
