Simply delicious summer entertaining by Michael Van de Elzen from his book Good from Scratch.

Good from Scratch is the philosophy that food truly does taste better when it’s made from scratch with quality produce, when you know where your raw ingredients have come from, and in turn what is going into your body. I’m excited to share these recipes with you so that you too can make your own simple and delicious food, and start your own Good from Scratch journey.

This book is another way that we can share our love of food. I’m excited to share these recipes, which have all been developed, tweaked or recreated in the Good from Scratch Cookery School, guided by the seasons and inspired by the Good from Scratch philosophy. I hope you love them as much as we do. Feel free to put your own twist on things based on what is in season or in your fridge – cooking from scratch is all about fostering a love of food and knowing that what is going into your meals creates a dish that is greater than the sum of its parts. Enjoy.
