Hawker House is an expression of love for food from a region the couple greatly admire and respect. Vegetables are hand-picked by Matt from the farm, and the short but appealing menu offers delicious cuts of meat cooked with vibrant flavours. To really kick the evening off, start with a sparkling sake or one of the unique cocktails, inspired by Old Shanghai and Singapore made with fresh, seasonal fruit. There’s a chef’s dining area and dining room to eat in, or a more casual hawker-style space. Menus are frequently updated and served in a casual atmosphere. Korean fried chicken with gochujang and kimchi mayo or karaage squid are always crowd favourites.
