Travel publishing giant Lonely Planet have declared Wellington, Auckland and Melbourne to be the best coffee towns in this part of the world, in Lonely Planet’s Global Coffee Tour (Lonely Planet Global Limited, $32.99). Eight Kiwi cafes and roasteries are listed as among the best in the world: Auckland’s Allpress Espresso and Atomic Coffee Roasters, C1 Espresso and Hummingbird Coffee in Christchurch, Devil’s Cup in Patea and Wellington’s Customs by Coffee Supreme, Flight Coffee Hangar and Havana Coffee Works get the gongs.
