Built in 1992 by the local Dixon family it has a kiwi woolshed/tramping hut vibe, with surrounding verandahs, and open fire and tables that are solid enough dance on. It’s all rustic and homely. The kitchen prepares simple and wholesome fare including fresh steamed mussels and mussel chowder Onekaka style. There are steak, fish and vegetarian meal options and a range of snacky foods. Their own beers, ales, ciders, soft drinks and occasional house wines are made in the small adjacent brewery. Enjoy the good Kiwi tucker that’s served, have a beer at the bar, a bowl of sausages on the deck, relax and enjoy live music.Â
