50ml bourbon | |
25ml spirit-based amaro of your choice | |
1 dash Angostura bitters | |
1 dash orange bitters | |
maraschino cherry, to serve |
SNACK
Pair with 70% dark chocolate and caramels.
The Black Manhattan was created in 2005 by Todd Smith. It’s a simple variation on the classic Manhattan, with a heavier amaro replacing sweet vermouth.

Instructions
1. | Add the ingredients to a cocktail glass over ice. |
2. | Stir for 8-10 seconds until chilled. |
3. | Pour into a chilled coupette glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry. |
