Wholefood Simply

In Wholefood Simply Bianca Slade delivers exactly what she promises on the cover – a little bit of natural indulgence. You’ll find quick and easy wholefood treats that you can whip up in a flash without compromising on taste. To sweeten, Slade uses coconut sugar, 100% maple syrup or honey and 100% fruit spreads that are readily available from the supermarket. Although you don’t get much of a sense of the person behind the recipes, this collection has evolved from Slade’s blog of the same name. The recipes are, for the most part, short, sharp and no-nonsense. The fudge and delicious things section caught my eye with an amazing selection of bite-size goodies, as did the cookie-dough truffles. Although I’m a bit over the bliss ball movement, the choc-fudge version made with Medjool dates, cashew butter, honey and vanilla will become a weekend project to tempt my boys away from the Tim Tams and the lemon bliss balls will be just for me… Another beautiful offering from ABC Books.
