There’s a whole swag of new foodie goodness going on in Dunedin and we’re looking forward to getting around as many of these as we can. A wholesome eatery in a heritage  building, Catalyst (right), offers mindful dining in Princes Street with organic, Fairtrade coffee by Kōkako. Freshly opened in Mornington, The Good Food Co (the name says it all!) is an artisan-food store with a tummy-rumbling stock of cheese, pasta, condiments and nibbles, fresh bread, cakes and slices. Perfect for stocking up for the summer holidays, we reckon. Epic Dog (pictured) offers gourmet hot dogs in George St – everything you’ve ever wanted in a hot dog, plus a lot you’ve never even imagined. Over in North Easy Valley, ADJØ is a Scandi-inspired café and exhibition venue where you can snack on Danish Frikadeller meatballs and smørrebrød alongside art presentations and musical events. We  love the sound of Samoan coconut buns served warm with coconut milk at Side-on in Lower Moray Place, while Vito’s Café & Deli in Rattray St do take-home freshly cooked meals as well as café and deli delights.
