Day in, day out, seven days a week from morning until night, Floriditas has been turning on the top treatment for close to 20 years. And it’s a testament to what they do that in this tricky environment, they’ve never lost their touch. The great space feels European in style and approach. Its kaupapa of offering excellence throughout adds to that. Three years ago, Dominique (front woman and dynamo) and Hayden McMillan (head chef) bought into the restaurant with long-term co-owners James Pedersen (sommelier) and Julie Clark. The mix of old and new characters is perfect, drawing on both depth of knowledge and bright new energy. The menu forever evolves and the wine list is eminently approachable. May we add that in a country that struggles with service, Floriditas really does have some of the best in the business.
