Food plays a central role in celebrations across the world; there is something so special about people coming together around a table to mark festive occasions. For our Christmases at home, the centrepiece would always be turkey, and sometimes roast pork, too. Later, when I worked with Scandinavians, the Christmas Eve tradition of ribs was a surprise, but an interesting and delicious change to my idea of celebration food. These recipes are inspired by food I have enjoyed at various festive meals in different countries. I give you spectacular platters to share with family and friends: perfect for many occasions.
