When it comes to a cuisine that encompasses superior quality and taste, it’s difficult to go past the delights of Italy. And that exquisite quality doesn’t stop at food – Italy’s coffee culture is just as famed.

This season, Nespresso is encouraging Kiwi coffee lovers to discover inspiration in every cup by experiencing the superior quality and taste of Ispirazione Italiana, paired with Italian-inspired recipes by celebrated local chef and restaurateur Ben Bayly.

Nespresso’s Ispirazione Italiana permanent coffee range pays tribute to Italy – the masters of innovation and quality – and its diverse coffee culture. It delivers a range of distinct flavours inspired by the rich coffee-roasting traditions of the distinct regions of Italy: Arpeggio (Florence), Ristretto (Italy), Napoli (Naples), Kazaar (Palermo) and Venezia (Venice), along with Genova Livanto (Genoa) and Roma (Rome).

Highlighting the iconic and beloved Arpeggio coffee in its glaze, this flavoursome barbecue venison by Ben Bayly makes the most of foraged seasonal greens and high-quality produce – and is the perfect recipe to indulge in with a classic Arpeggio espresso.

“This is a delicious barbecue venison dish drizzled with a mānuka honey and Arpeggio coffee glaze, on a bed of creamy spinach puree alongside seasonal greens of your choice. My favourites are brussels sprouts and broad beans. Venison and coffee are a wonderful combination, and venison is now so easy to source, it can even be delivered to your door via local suppliers,” says Ben. If you’ve got more of a sweet tooth – try Ben Bayly’s panna cotta with Arpeggio ganache.
